Here is what I wrote initially: "Works fine. When you had a Braun previously, as I did, some of the parts don't stick together as easily as you are used to. Works fine though, and has a stronger engine than the Braun did. For pure functionality it deserves 4 stars." Based on this I gave the Miallegro 3 Stars. Now we are 10 weeks later and 2 knobs that hold the motor part and the attachments together have come off. Not good, obviously. Am now about to call customer service to get the product replaced and will update on how that goes. But the fact that this has happened at all, shows this isn't a very well engineered product unfortuntely... Unfortunately, my first attempt to use the blender resulted in the blade and other internal assembly falling off the wand and into my soup. The design is definitely wanting. In theory, having various blades for different tasks to attach to the motorized wand makes sense, but they do not attach securely or easily. The instructions suggest using pliers to squeeze on tightly if necessary. That really shouldn't be necessary in an adequate design. I returned this blender and am awaiting my refund, having lost out on shipping costs.
